Neurolous exists to help you preserve who you are for the people you love. That only works if you trust us with deeply personal material, so we hold ourselves to a simple standard: your data is yours, your persona is yours, and nothing about you is shared or used without your consent.
What We Collect
We collect the information you give us when you create an account, such as your name and email address, and the content you choose to provide to build your persona: photos, videos, voice recordings, written memories, and your conversations with the AI coach. If you enable live video features, we also process camera and microphone data during those sessions.
How We Use Your Information
Your content is used to build and operate your AI persona, to make its voice and responses true to you, and to provide the features you and your loved ones use, such as text, voice, and video conversations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your persona content to advertise to you or anyone else.
Consent Comes First
Every persona is built with the explicit, ongoing consent of the person it represents. Camera-based features, including emotional vision analysis, are off unless you turn them on, and you can turn them off at any time. You can withdraw consent, pause your persona, or delete it entirely whenever you choose.
Sharing
Your persona is shared only with the people you designate. We use a small number of service providers, such as cloud hosting, to operate Neurolous; they are bound by confidentiality obligations and may not use your data for their own purposes. We may disclose information if required by law.
Legacy Access After Death
Access to a persona after the death of the person it represents is governed by the instruments that person and their advisors put in place, such as trust provisions, powers of attorney, and named beneficiaries. It is not decided by us. Where a persona is referenced in an estate plan, we follow the custody and access provisions in those documents.
Retention and Deletion
We keep your content for as long as your account is active or as needed to honor the legacy arrangements you have made. You can request deletion of your data at any time, and we will honor a deletion request from the person a persona represents, or from their authorized representative, subject to applicable law.
Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit and at rest, and we limit access to the personnel who need it to operate the service. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat the material you entrust to us with the care a legacy deserves.
Children
Neurolous is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we will post the updated version here and update the date above. For meaningful changes, we will notify you before they take effect.
